Thank you for inviting us. I am new at this and my teacher found this site and mentioned it to us in our class. I need a job very badly working from home and would very much be interested in typing from home or being a Digital Medical Record person, if someone out there knows of something that is out there.
I am on unemployment right now and I am taking the Medical Transcription now and will complete the class in two weeks. Does anyone have any advise for me? Thank you and have a great day.

Sincerely,
Elaine

HI EVERYONE. New here - like everyone I guess. I am an acute care MT. Work from home. Been doing this on and off since 1979. Yeppers - still get confused. Ha Ha!! This work has changed so much. We are so lucky to have computers now. When I started it was just me and my IBM Selectric and white pieces of typo paper all over the place. I love the way this board is set up. So clean looking and easy to maneuver around. Glad to be here. Tash

Ok..I'm on board. I'm working two jobs...one with a well known transcription service and another transcribing medical expert reviews regarding evaluations of car accidents and the appropriateness of medical care received afterwards. I'll be peeking in on you intermittently to see what you have to offer.

Hi there, I am Jessica, I signed up for at home classes through "At Home Professions" which is now U.S. Career Institute. I finished about 3 weeks ago and still no job.

I am a Registered Dental Assistant and Certified Medical Biller, but I have 5 kids and wanted to be home and still make a little money, so here I am. I have read through the intro's and it's very nice to *meet* all of you. :)

I didn't know At-Home Professions was still in business, even doing business under a different name. Yes, I graduated from their program in December, 2004 and it took me until July 2005 to be hired as a medical transcriptionist.

Hello everyone. I was on the Career Step Forum and one of the members suggested this site, so I thought I would come on in and introduce myself. I am an MT student and I am currently go to school through Career Step. I am trying to be finished by April, 2010. I live in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I truly enjoy studying to be an MT and hope to be working soon. :D
Yours in peace,
Marion
